We don't publish EE's roaming terms: they depend on your plan and change over time. Depending on the plan, international use may be included, offered as an add-on or billed per use. The only reliable source is your EE online account or app: look for the international or travel section, and note any data included for Belarus and the rate beyond it.
Why add a data eSIM to your EE line
Plenty of travelers keep their EE SIM active for calls and texts (bank codes, two-factor authentication) and let a travel eSIM handle data. You know the cost upfront, there's no risk of overage charges, and the phone uses both lines at the same time. If your plan already includes enough data there, an eSIM adds nothing: that's why the check above comes first.
Turning off data roaming on your EE line
- iPhone: Settings > Cellular > your EE line > turn off "Data Roaming".
- Android: in the mobile network settings, turn off roaming for the EE SIM.
- Set the travel eSIM as your cellular data line; on iPhone, also turn off "Allow Cellular Data Switching".
If your EE plan offers international add-ons, check in your account which ones are active before you leave.
Set up your eSIM in 4 steps
- Make sure your phone is eSIM-compatible and unlocked.
- Buy the plan, then scan the QR code you receive (or install through the provider's app), on Wi-Fi.
- When you arrive, turn on the eSIM line for data, and turn on roaming for that line only.
- Keep your main SIM for calls and texts, with data roaming turned off.
